Our farm

Cereals, pulses and vegetables growing naturally

The organic farm Il Cerreto in Pomarance has been running for over 20 years. It is run by Paola and Carlo: we have chosen to make these 300 hectares a true biodynamic oasis, respecting the land and the produce it gives us. Together with us, a team of dozens of people follows the work in the fields with the same dedication.

The land at Il Cerreto is farmed according to the principles of biodynamic agriculture, following the ideas of Rudolf Steiner: this approach keeps the soil fertile, lets plants grow naturally and yields high-quality food. We achieve this through crop rotation, biodynamic preparations, composting, quality fertilisation and the lunar and planetary calendar, without chemical fertilisers or pesticides. Il Cerreto is also an organic farm, a form of cultivation that allows only natural substances and excludes chemical fertilisers, herbicides and insecticides. The farm is certified by ICEA and DEMETER for its agricultural activities.
